Demonstration experiment / social experiment by IoT

The state of emergency due to the COVID-19 has been lifted, and the number of real exhibitions is increasing. And since around June, information on IoT-based demonstration experiments and social experiments has increased, so this time we will introduce the trends.

Demonstration experiments and social experiments have almost the same meaning, but it seems that relatively large-scale experiments involving the government are called social experiments.

This time, we investigated cases related to government and public transportation, and found the following.

1. In 2020, there were many cases related to agriculture, but cases related to transportation have been increasing since 2021, especially from around June 2021.
2. In agriculture, there are many DX (Digital Transformation) by AI using images, but recently, cases using drones have appeared.
3. By industry, the number increases in the order of public, transportation, and agriculture, but for transportation, there are many demonstration experiments using automatic driving on public roads.
4. In the area, Kanagawa Prefecture has the largest number. This is probably because there are many companies related to AI and IoT, and it is easy to obtain the cooperation of local governments for social experiments, and the environment is in place.
5. The implementation areas are dispersed all over the country.
